Semester One Finished?!?!

Can you believe that I am already done one semester of law school? How unreal is that? For me that is really unreal? I just can't believe that I have learned everything I know about law right now in 12 weeks, it is just unreal! Yes I still have finals to write at the end of the month, and I know I should be studying and reading but I thought I would update you on the awesome activities I have been doing these past few weeks.

The first awesome thing that I did was go on a wine tour! It was amazing, but for future reference maybe don't start the wine tour at 10:30am. Hunter Valley is about a hour outside of newcastle and just gorgeous! I saw my very first wild kangaroo on the way up there, just lounging in one of the fields, wish I was fast enough to take a picture but the bus was going to fast. On the way up we were given goodie bags, so we tore into those at 930am, and started drinking our mini bottles of wine that we got!
Cheers to drinking at 9:30 in the morning!

At each winery we were given samples of wine, about 15 different kinds at each. There isn't much I can say about them except that wine is wine, and yes it was delicious! I will let the pictures speak for themselves!

This was the wine list from the first winery. All there wines were organic, so needless to say you were paying a lot for it.

The vineyards. It is fall now, so everything is dead looking, but still pretty.

Some old school corking machines. I'd say the one in grandpas basement is just as good of a contraption as these are!

Lindemans wine isn't sold in regular bottle shops in Australia, apparently you have to special order it! But I do believe they said that you can buy it from liquor stores in Canada.

As we were leaving Lindemans, this really beautiful car pulled up. I'm not a car person, my eyes just naturally draw to expensive things, so I believe this is an Audi and I believe I would like one!

After the first two wineries, Tamburlaine and Lindemans we stopped for lunch to put some food in our liquid sodden bellies, but hey you can't have lunch in the hunter valley without ordering a bottle of wine! Amber and I went with red, and it was alright, not as good as the free wine we were receiving at the wineries though! Lunch was fun, we were being goofy!

Meena and I being crazy!

Paulina and I enjoying the sunshine!

Amber and I being wild and free!

After lunch we hit up a vodka distillery, oh my goodness, this is a place for Ivanna! Name the flavour of vodka and you shall receive. This place got me in trouble, we tried strawberry, blackberry, caramel, chocolate mint, chile (fyi most disgusting flavour ever!!!), butterscotch, and a few others that I just cannot remember! They were given to us in little test tubes, which were adorable.

The Hunter Distillery

My test tube shot!

After the vodka distillery we went back on the bus to hit up one last winery, Drayton's. Personally I think this was the worst wine, but that also could be because I went back to drinking wine after doing vodka shots! This is also the winery you go into and don't touch anything because it looks way to expensive. Thankfully it was Amber that dropped and smashed her wine glass, not me. Here is what I mean by everything looking super expensive!

I have learned that I highly dislike Port. Way to sweet for me.

See what I mean by expensive?!

Who bottles wine like this?

One last photo shoot with the girls before home time!

Needless to say it was a very fun day, by 4:00 in the afternoon we were finished the tour and ready to head back home, everybody passed out on that hour bus ride back home, it was super quiet! But it was a great girls day and would definitely do it again! (Leaving out the vodka distillery).

The next awesome thing I did was go to Vivid Sydney. It was amazing, for those of you who are my facebook friends, I'm sure you have seen the pictures, if not I recommend going through all of them, because they will leave you in awe. Vivid Sydney is a light show, and it is unreal. I watched the performance of the opera house 3 times before I left, and I only left because I wanted to see all the other exhibits and I knew I had a train to catch later that night! Here are some pictures. It is hard not to upload all 500 from that night, but I know nobody has got time for that, So I will try and pick a few super awesome ones!

Like I said these pictures aren't even comparable to the real thing!

I know these events don't seem like much but they are a lot when you are a busy law student and are supposed to be studying for exams every waking moment of your life. Ha! Like I said in an earlier post I am a procrastinator, so any chance I get to explore the wonders of this country I am going to take it. I know this is more of a picture blog than a writing blog, but my brain isn't being very creative, when all I have thought about today is contracts and implied terms. So hopefully the pictures speak for themselves about the awesomeness I am having in this country!
